GrapeSEED
In 2018 HighFive! was the first school in Italy to experiment with the innovative GrapeSEED program which continues to be a leader and famous example of language acquisition.
GrapeSEED is an English speaking and critical listening program designed for children to learn the language naturally.
The GrapeSEED program for children grew out of the work of American educators at MeySen Academy in Sendai, Japan. It grew over the next 45 years, during which teachers perfected their practices and searched for better and more effective ways to teach English to young children.
GrapeSEED is an intensely interactive student-focused program, incorporating the Common Core Standards with research to back up the claims.
Students learn to use language to express or request facts, ideas and feelings; accept, reject or influence the actions of others; and to do things in a personal environment.
Today GrapeSEED is in use in 16 countries, over 600 schools and serves more than 40,000 students every day.
